"Disappointed with the packaging and condition"
I ordered a mower from gardenmachinerydirect.co.uk and felt gutted when it arrived. The packaging was in a really poor state, with the box split down one side and the tape looking like it had barely held on during delivery.
The mower does seem to work, which is a relief, but there was a scratch on the handle and a small dent on the cover. For something bought as new, it left me feeling quite disappointed and a bit let down.

I had a small issue after my mower turned up, so I emailed them thinking I’d probably be waiting ages or get some generic reply. i was ready to be annoyed. But nope, they got back to me quickly and sorted the part out with no hassle at all. Really nice dealing with a company that actually responds and helps

"Ordering felt a little too risky and frustrating"
I tried ordering a mower online, and the whole process made me a bit uneasy. The site was slow, a few pages felt clunky, and checkout kept making me re-enter my details, which isn’t exactly reassuring when you’re putting in payment info. I did eventually get the order through, but it felt like more hassle than it should’ve been. The confirmation email also took a while to show up, so for a bit I was wondering if the order had actually gone through or if something had gone wrong.

"Stock info seemed a bit off"
I ordered a mower because it looked like it was in stock, but then a few days later they told me it wasn’t actually available after all. Kind of annoying, since I probably could’ve just got one from somewhere else a bit sooner. To be fair, they did respond and the refund was handled fine, but the stock info on the website could really do with being more accurate. Not awful or anything, just a bit frustrating.

"Okay mower, but the first impression wasn’t great"
I bought a mower from Garden Machinery Direct and, to be fair, it’s been doing the job so far. It cuts the grass fine and usually starts without too much fuss, so I can’t really complain about how it performs day to day.
That said, my first impression wasn’t brilliant. Straight away, a few bits felt cheaper than I expected, especially the handle and some of the plastic parts. For the price, I thought it would feel a bit sturdier out of the box.
Overall, it’s not a terrible mower, but it hasn’t exactly wowed me either. I’ll keep using it and see how it holds up, but based on the feel of it so far, I’m not sure I’d rush to buy the same one again.

I ordered a mower part and it arrived fine, no issues there, but the price felt a little steep compared to other places I’d checked. Delivery wasn’t exactly cheap either. It wasn’t a bad experience, just not amazing value for money.

"Returns and warranty were a total joke"
Trying to deal with their returns and warranty process was ridiculous. Everything moved at a snail's pace, and the support I got was basically useless. Felt like they had no clue what they were doing.

"Helpful advice, even if I was a bit unsure at first"
I wasn’t really sure what mower would handle the rough patch of garden I’ve got, so I called Garden Machinery Direct before ordering. I’ll admit I half expected a sales pitch, but the guy I spoke to actually seemed to know what he was talking about and didn’t just steer me towards the priciest option.

He talked me through engine sizes, cutting widths, and what would make sense for my garden, which definitely helped. I still felt a bit overwhelmed by the choices, but I ended up ordering and I’m happy enough with what I picked. Overall, a good experience and I’d likely use them again.

"Easy to track and decent updates"
I ordered a mower from Garden Machinery Direct and, to be fair, the communication was good from start to finish.

I got the order confirmation right away, then a dispatch email with tracking so I could keep an eye on where it was. The tracking worked fine, although it did seem to sit in one spot for a while, which had me wondering what was going on.

It turned up on the day they said it would and everything was fine. I’d use them again, though a bit more detail on the delivery side would’ve been handy.

Does anyone remember Toro's 22" "power reverse" walk behind mower ? I think discontinued 4 or 5 years ago. They probably had issues but I'd love to own one with electric srart . I Wonder if Toro plans new version. They appeared to be the perfect push mower. Thanks, Gary

Why is customer service such an issue with this company? if you want to stay in business (and not be sued relentlessly) you should find a way to figure this out.
